My favorite pet- Guinea pig

Guinea pig is a kind of cavia, but it is not pig. It named Guinea pig, but it is not come from Guinea. Guinea pig comes from South America which is the food for them or the medicine. The guinea pigs were brought to the West by European merchants of the 16th century. When people liked the small animals, they kept them as pets. They are gentle, lovable, adorable and easy to care for. Also they are still common domestic pets. Biological experiments in guinea pigs began in the 17th century and were later replaced by other mammals such as mice. Today, guinea pigs are still used for scientific research, mainly for human diseases such as spinal cord injury, juvenile diabetes, tuberculosis, scurvy and pregnancy complications.

Guinea pig is very cute. Many people likes it, too. My firt time have this pet is when I was in elementary school. I bought one in the pet store. It stay with me two years, and then he dead. When he see me, he always run out the cage and jump to my hands. I love Guinea pig to be my pets because it is cute, and it will not bark so loudly like a dog. Also it does not live in the water like fish, so I can touch him easily.
